Ramps, Angles and Friction

experiment1.jpg I used a 7″ high ramp with a cookie tray and aluminum, a towel and foam. I used a bouncy ball. I predicted that the ball would go fastest on the aluminum, towel second and the foam the slowest and I was correct!!  I think that the surface of material determines how fast the ball would go. I then created a higher ramp 9″ high and I assumed everything would go faster.  I was correct with the towel and the foam but the aluminum actually went slower.  I think because the aluminum made it go faster it caused the ball to bounce making the time to hit the wall longer.

I think friction and height is the biggest factor on speed.
